If you have suggestions for the website please send an email to manager@sandpiperisle.net

Also, attached are two forms that we would like to remind residents to use.  These along with other forms like the work-orders can be found on the website and can be downloaded for your use.  Also, a supply of these forms are located in the clubhouse, just check the file folder in the inbox marked  “association manager”.  You can turn in completed forms in the inbox as the association manager (Jack Erickson) checks this box on Thursday afternoon (3pm) during his on-site visits.
  • Resident information form:  From time to time if/when you have new information such as a new phone number, email or want a different address for notification, please fill out the form and send it to the association manager.
  • Family/Guest notification form:  This form is primarily for those who do not live here year round and who may from time to time have guests (friends/relatives/etc.) using their unit when they are not here.  It is a safety issue, for you as well as the community, for you to register your guest!  Please complete and send in this form every time you have a guest (family or friend) using your unit, so we don’t have to be following up with you or the PLCA privacy department when we notice your home being occupied when you are not there.  We are just being ‘diligent’ about safety.  It is part of our community good neighbor “HOME WATCH” effort.
  • Renter forms, must be submitted for all renters by the owner. Forms must be accompanied by the applicable fees and received by the association manager 30 days prior to rentals.  Please be sure you have filed accordingly, and when renters leave, be sure to follow up with the association manager regarding refund of the SPI deposit.  Currently the refund of deposit is not an automatic process when your renter leaves.

Coming home?  Here are some hints for opening your condo unit.

If you were away from your unit for two days or more and properly closed your unit in an effort to avoid water damage to your unit (which in a condo will damage other units as well), you will need to remember to you may need to do these things to 'undo' your closing and re-open your home:

a.    Open the water at the main source-ask your neighbor if you do not know the location.
b.    If you lifted up the ice-maker arm in the refrigerator to the lock position to stop your ice-maker, when you return, turn the water back on and drop the arm in the ice maker.
d.    Turn on the hot and cold water at the washing machine, if you had stopped such.
e.    You can reconnect your toaster, toaster oven and coffee pot and check the breaker to the hot water heater in the electrical panel.
f.    If you have a home watch service, they may handle the above items prior to your return.
g.    For a small fee these professionals will take care of the above tasks as well as check the air conditioner, check for water leaks, bring in the garbage can as well as perform opening tasks for your arrival such as putting furniture on the lanai, running the water to remove the smell, turning up the air conditioner, etc.

Helpful referrals for local services:
This attachment (click here) recaps offerings from the following home repair services companies who offer annual contracts for coverage of various household appliances (refer to each link to the respective offerings and note each may offer coverage of different items which is why pricing comparisons will be different):
By no means are any of the above endorsed recommendations by the Sandpiper Isle Association or webmaster for the Sandpiper Isle site or Association Manager.

NOTE: If anyone has other individual recommendations, please contact Vicki White @ 239 221 7604  with details.
